At Mail Boxes Etc. we pride ourselves in offering a professional, end-to-end service that is competitively priced. Our pricing comprises several elements: collection, packing service and packaging materials, any compensation cover purchased, plus despatch and delivery using the most appropriate carrier for the item(s), the country of destination and speed of service required.
Collection charges may vary according to the proximity of our nearest store to the auction house and whether you would like us to make a special trip for your item, or collect it along with other customers’ consignments on one of our scheduled days.
Packing charges will reflect the size and fragility of the item(s), as we may need to use specialist packaging materials, double box or crate the consignment, and we need to allow for the time associated with providing a professional packing service.
Compensation cover charges are based on the value of the item and the level of cover required, while carrier charges will depend on the supplier and service speed selected.
We try estimate as accurately as possible, based on the description and photographs provided by the auction house. However if the final charges vary it is usually because one of the above criteria has been incorrectly estimated – for example, the size of the item (dimensions of paintings in sale catalogues usually only cover the canvas and not the frame; mounted ornaments do not include bases, while medals and other collectables do not include display boxes).
We will always agree the final price with you before proceeding with your order.
